Since 1989, Erie’s Lending Hands for Life (LHL) program has been working to help those living with HIV/AIDS - or those who are at risk – live healthy lives and reduce the number of transmissions in Chicago.

• We offer a wide range of services — from medical care to emotional support — for individuals who are living with HIV/AIDS. A team of community health workers, case managers, and providers are here to make sure you receive the highest quality care for living your healthiest life. These supports are based out of our Humbolt Park and Foster Avenue Locations.
• See down below for our free at-home HIV self-test kits. Test kits are only for those residing in the state of Illinois.
• We also have PrEP services at all of our Erie locations. When taken as directed, PrEP is a medication that reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by more than 99%.
